Dining Days Returns to University City

Jul 15, 2016 7 years ago

University City Dining Days, University City District’s popular “3 courses, 3 prices” promotion, will return for ten days this summer, running July 14th-24th. A record thirty-four of University City’s most popular dining destinations – including seven restaurants participating for the first time—will offer a pre-fixe three-course dinner special for $15, $25 or $35.

University City’s culinary scene is one of the most eclectic and robust in Philadelphia, with a mix of family-owned restaurants and outposts for major local and national chefs and restaurateurs. University City is also known for its wide mix of international establishments, ranging from India, Ethiopia, China, Vietnam, Japan, Mexico City and beyond.

Dining Days offers neighbors a chance to sample restaurants at a fixed price, and also draws visitors to the ever-expanding dining scene during a time when the neighborhood is less bustling with college activity. During Dining Days, the number of patrons increases by more than 50% at participating restaurants, so reservations are strongly encouraged.

Popular spots such as Distrito, Dock Street Brewery, Stephen Starr’s Pod, Han Dynasty, and more are now taking reservations for Dining Days. University City District is pleased to welcome seven new restaurants to this year’s program: Jose Garces’ JG Domestic, new Baltimore Avenue eatery Renata’s Kitchen, Nicole Marquis’ HipCityVeg, new fast casual concert Herban Quality Eats, Bobby Flay’s Bobby’s Burger Palace, Japanese hand-drawn noodle spot Ochatto, and Indian restaurant Tandoor. See the full list of participating restaurants and price points on the second page.

Prices are for dinner only and do not include tax, gratuity or alcohol, and reservations should be made directly through the participating restaurant. Visit www.ucdiningdays.com for more information and for downloadable menus.
