Plantings at The Porch

The Porch at 30th Street Station can be a harsh urban environment for plants, often subjected to extremes in temperature and wind. Over a short period of time, UCD has experimented and found the ideal collection of plants that positively respond to (and even love!) these conditions. And, if they grow at The Porch, we’re sure they can grow in your garden too. Have you taken a seat at The Porch recently and noticed a plant you haven’t seen before? Then wondered what it was called? These questions come up often, so UCD decided to add plant identification signage at The Porch. We now have images of the plants along with their scientific and common names. These signs are located at the East end and West end information signs. Take a look and let us know what you think.
