TOMORROW at The Porch: Body Jam with Drexel Fitness 5:30pm-6:30pm

For the past few weeks I’ve been trying really hard to make it to Body Jam at the Porch. When my friends heard this they all laughed- exercise and coordination are not friends of mine. Fortunately, the class is taught by Drexel students who are (clearly) exceptionally non-judgmental. The instructor explained that even if you do every step wrong, if you’re moving you’ll still get a great workout. I know this to be true because I did in fact do nearly every step wrong, and I most definitely felt the burn.

Some people watch TV at the gym. We got to watch confused commuters     instead. A few of them stopped to watch us, but no one took us up on our invitation to join in... Unless you count one very confused man who just began dancing near us.

I was dying after the first half hour. However, if you’re looking for a hardcore, rhythmic workout, then head to The Porch at 30th Street Station. There’s a rotating team of instructors, each with their own personal style. I hear there’s one who goes for an ’80s theme.
