Celebrating the Honors Program at University of the Sciences and the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program’s 25th Anniversary


Jane Golden, executive director of the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, will keynote during a special colloquium to celebrate the Mural Arts Program’s 25th Anniversary and the Honors Program at University of the Sciences on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 4 p.m. at University of the Sciences’ McNeil Science and Technology Center (43rd St. and Woodland Ave., Philadelphia). Since 1984, Golden has spearheaded the public art organization in the completion of nearly 3,000 murals throughout Philadelphia, earning Philadelphia international recognition as the “City of Murals.” Free and open to the public. This special evening is headlined by keynote speaker Jane Golden, executive director of the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program. Since 1984, Golden has spearheaded the public art organization as it works in partnership with communities, grassroots organizations, city agencies, schools and philanthropies. She has supervised the completion of nearly 3,000 murals throughout Philadelphia, earning Philadelphia international recognition as the “City of Murals.”
 
The Honors Program at University of the Sciences offers exceptional students the opportunity for specialized, intensive learning experiences.
