University City Dining Days Returns, July 23-30
Twenty-one West Philly restaurants join the “two diverse for one price” July 23-30 promotion and offer three courses for $15, $25 or $30
(Philadelphia, PA) – Twenty-one of University City’s most popular dining destinations – including newcomers Desi Village, Distrito, Gold Standard Café and Mary Oaks - are preparing for the annual summer edition of University City Dining Days. Considering the hightened success of the promotion, Philadelphia foodies are being encouraged to make their reservations early as participating restaurants will once again be offering excellent dining deals from Thursday, July 23 – Thursday, July 30.
The participating restaurants will offer a pre-fixe three-course dinner special for $15, $25 or $30. The “3 courses, 3 prices” concept works to accommodate University City’s diverse culinary options and “left of center” reputation. Prices are for dinner only and do not include tax, gratuity or alcohol, and reservations are recommended and should be made directly through the participating restaurant. Thousands of happy diners have descended on University City throughout Dining Days, selling out reservations at many of the participating restaurants (click here for the complete list).
An important goal of the promotion is to drive traffic to University City restaurants during typically slow periods and to introduce new customers to the diverse dining scene in the neighborhood. Greg Salisbury, owner of Rx added, “We have been part of Dining Days since its inception and we circle it on our calendar every year. It is an amazing event that turns University City into a weeklong block party – Rx tonight, Distrito tomorrow night, Desi Village the night after. Visitors are going to five or six restaurants during the event. One of my favorite things about Dining Days is hearing so many new customers say the same thing: ‘I wish I had discovered this neighborhood earlier – I can’t wait to come back!’”
University City Dining Days is produced by University City District and sponsored by AYC Media, Ben FM 95.7, Campus Philly, Center City Proprietors Association, Cruzan Rum, Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation, Jewish Exponent, Philadelphia CityPaper, Philadelphia Magazine, PhillyFunGuide.com, Phlare Magazine, Sauza Tequila, UCNet, University Square, uwishunu.com, and Where Magazine.
