Phrequency: Pop-ups at The Porch

We’re always excited to talk about up and coming spots around Philly, so it comes as no surprise that we’re psyched to announce not one, but two great pop-up events happening at Philly’s new hot spot: The Porch.

First up, pop-up mini golf is coming to The Porch for the entire month of July. Bring your valid photo ID and get a club, ball, scoreboard and pencil to take on a free 9-hole game. Stop by anytime between 10 am and 8 pm.

A few weeks into the month of July also kicks off The Porch’s pop-up beer garden, starting on July 12th and running through the 14th. Experience the first-ever outdoor Beer Garden at The Porch where Bridgewater’s Pub will offer German and craft beers, brats, sauerkraut and Italian sausage sandwiches. To top it off there will also be live music and visual art such as Pew Fellow Nami Yamamoto’s Hakoniwa and Justin Duerr’s Anaesthasia Emeralda Lucian piano.

For those of you who are unaware, last fall, University City District (UCD) unveiled The Porch at 30th Street Station. The Porch now features a weekly farmers’ market, fitness classes, live concerts and circus arts as well as special events. There is also comfortable seating, sun and shade, trees and plantings.
