When The Porch at 30th Street Station rolled out the first guest food trucks and set up cafe tables back in 2011, it was a great step to take over some prime real estate (and commuter traffic) that had been disused for way too many years.

This year, The Porch is back and better than ever with the help of Chef Michael Schulson. Taking a cue from last season’s success at Independence Beer Garden, Schulson is taking over the food and drinks (yes, there are drinks!) end of things with his Rotisserie at The Porch. He’s installing two mobile vending vehicles. The first is a food truck serving lunch seven days a week, and the second is a bar trailer that’s pouring Wednesday to Saturday from 4 to 9 PM.

The Rotisserie menu is a short and sweet selection of snacks, salads and plates with summertime friendly options like a watermelon and feta salad with mint and tomatoes and the prerequisite kale salad with a sherry vinaigrette, don’t worry though, you can top it with spit-roasted pork or lamb. Larger plates on offer are porchetta with spicy mayo and baguette, Porch burgers in beef and veggie varieties and lamb from the spit with mint, ranch and cucumbers.

Over at the drinks trailer they’re mixing up refreshing $8 cocktails like a bourbon punch with peach and lemon and a cucumber and lime watermelon slammer. The opening draft list includes summertime fave 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon and they’ve got cans of Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Brooklyn Summer and Miller Lite.

The Rotisserie at The Porch is open daily from 11 AM to 2 PM and the beverage trailer is open Wednesday to Saturday from 4 PM to 9 PM.
