(Philadelphia, PA) – University City District (UCD), together with the Baltimore Avenue Business Association (BABA), is excited to announce a second Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll of the season on Thursday, September 18 from 5:30 to 8:30pm. University City’s Baltimore Avenue between 43rd and 51st Street will showcase its charm and businesses with $1 bargains from standout neighborhood business. From $1 pours of craft beers to ethnic bites to special memberships and ticket offers, this West Philadelphia event has something for everyone.

The last Dollar Stroll, held June 19, brought a record number of visitors to the area to sample $1 wares from local vendors. During the event and immediately following there was a large public demand for an additional Stroll for 2014, and this September 18 event is being planned to meet this need.

In addition to $1 food and drink options, the September Dollar Stroll will feature live entertainment including jugglers, fire artists and music from Y-Not Radio at the 46th Street Triangle. The event will also give visitors a chance to visit and experience two signature UCD public space projects: the UCD Parklets at 4239 Baltimore Avenue (in front of Green Line Café), 810 S. 47th Street (Fu-Way Market), and 4903 Catharine Street (Little Baby’s Ice Cream and Hibiscus Café), and #LoopedIn, the social seating structures, which will be located at 50th and Baltimore.

The Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll will be held rain or shine.
