2019 Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll Vendor Applications

Mar 13, 2019 5 days ago

University City District (UCD) and the Baltimore Avenue Business Association are excited to announce the return of the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll on Thursday, June 6th and Thursday, September 12th, 2019. The event draws thousands of neighbors and visitors to enjoy $1 specials from participating vendors.

We are once again accepting community food vendors to participate in the Dollar Stroll, and for the first time this year we are also inviting community merchandise vendors to apply to be official participants. The purpose of selecting official vendors is to ensure all vendors are in compliance with Philadelphia permitting codes, whether Philadelphia Health Department codes and regulations for food vending, or the Department of Licenses and Inspections for merchandise vendors. Selected food and merchandise vendors will be included on maps and marketing materials for the event.

Vendors must be selected as official participants by University City District to sell food or merchandise at the Dollar Stroll. Representatives from the Health Department and L&I will be present during the Dollar Stroll to inspect vendors, and those not selected by UCD risk being shut down.

Want to learn more about being a community food vendor? Attend an information session hosted by UCD and the Philadelphia Health Department at UCD's offices (3940 Chestnut Street) on Thursday, April 4th at 12 noon. Contact Margaret Starke, UCD Event Planner, at [email protected] to RSVP to the information session, or to apply. The deadline for applicants for the June Stroll is April 15th, 2019.
