August at The Porch at 30th Street Station brings free weekly lunchtime performances presented by PECO, the completion of our new shade structure, post-work drinks three nights a week at the Pub, and of course a daily selection of food trucks. 

  • Thanks to a partnership with PECO, we are bringing back free, weekly lunchtime performances to The Porch! Through the end of September, we'll be presenting an eclectic mix of music, dance and more to The Porch. The schedule for August will be:
    • Wednesday, August 7th at 12 pm: Just Sole! Street Dance
      • Just Sole! Street Dance Theater Company was founded in 2010 by its Directors Kyle "JustSole" Clark and Dinita "Queen Dinita" Clark. The mission of the company is to use Hip Hop dance (Street Dance) of all styles theatrically to inspire, empower, innovate, and motivate others to embrace their story and individuality while teaching the culture and history of Hip Hop Dance.
    • Thursday, August 15th at 12 pm: Philadelphia FICA
      • Don't miss a demonstration of Capoeira!Capoeira Angola is a dance fight, a playful sparring involving style, wit, flexibility and strategy. Capoeira weaves movements, spirituality, mental and physical discipline, fight, and philosophy into a unique "game." 
    • Tuesday, August 20th at 12: Oscuro Quintet and Tango Dance 
      • ​Come and experience the music and dancing of Argentina! Spanning the history of tango from the 20's to present day, Oscuro Quintet presents the popular music of Buenos Aires plus modern compositions infused with jazz. Oscuro Quintet featuring tango dancers Damian & Sarah. Names of performers if needed - Shinjoo Cho (bandoneon), Joseph Kauffman (violin), Jason Klinke (guitar), and Banjamin Blazer (contrabass). And dancers - Damian Lobato and Sarah Chung.he Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble, Philadelphia's premiere women’s tap dance company, contributes to the revitalization of the city's tap community through performance of both original choreography and improvised works to preserve the tradition of tap dance while challenging the public’s perception of percussive dance.
    • Thursday, August 29th at 12 pm: Batala Philadelphia 
      • Come enjoy an explosion of samba reggae rhythms that will uplift and energize the rest of your day! The group's drums, costumes, and music come from Bahia, Brazil.  

 

 

In August, the Pub at The Porch, now located on the western edge The Porch, will vend Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 4 pm - 8 pm. Bring some friends and enjoy a cold drink outdoors!

Mondays:

  • Dos Hermanos - Tacos, burritos, and other authentic Mexican specialties 
  • Goodfellas Food Truck - Italian sandwiches, Arancini rice balls, and other specialties 

Tuesdays:

  • QT Vietnamese Sandwiches - Offering authentic Vietnamese bahn mi sandwiches and flavorful dishes for both vegetarians and meat lovers 
  • Roasted Liberties - Truck specializing in rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, and wraps

Wednesdays:

  • Foolish Waffles - Award-winning sweet and savory waffles creations
  • Have a Ball - Meatball-inspired items plus Philly and Italian classics 

Thursdays:

  • Schmear It (Breakfast) - Philly's first and only food truck serving bagels with personalized, custom-crafted cream cheese schmears.
  • The Munchy Machine - Scooby Doo inspired food truck that's bringin' the best Scooby snacks on board
  • Haley Quinn's - Offering a new perspective on traditional American picnic foods

Fridays: 

  • Pitruco Pizza - Brick oven pizza specialists serving made-to-order 12" Neopolitan style pies
  • PaperMill Foods - Fresh, Asian-inspired menu of bowls, Banh Mis, and the original Spurrito (spring roll burrito)
