Brewery Takeovers Coming to the Pub at The Porch Outdoor Bar

Apr 20, 2018 6 years ago

This spring and summer we'll be partnering with Bridgewaters Pub and local breweries to bring rare local beers to the Pub at The Porch! On five Thursdays from May through June, local breweries will take over the Pub to serve beer in the outdoor bar area.

The Pub reopens on May 2nd as a venue for post-work drinks, happy hours, special events and live music. Bridgewater’s Pub, the venerable drinking and dining destination inside 30th Street Station, will again operate The Pub, serving beer and wine Wednesday through Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm. The Pub is located in the free-standing turquoise pop-up near the center of The Porch, where food trucks set up for weekday lunch service.

The tap takeover series will kick off with local favorite Dock Street Brewery, America's first microbrewery, on Thursday, May 3rd from 4pm – 8pm, or while supplies last. The complete list of participating breweries and dates is:

  • May 3rd: Dock Street Brewing
    • Beers: Dock Street Summer in Berlin, Dock Street Bohemian Pilsner, Dock Street Jip the Blood, and a surprise beer to be unveiled at the event.
  • May 17th: Levante Brewing

    • Beers: On tap: Wit or Witout Belgian Wheat and Low Pressure Low IPA. In cans: Wit or Witout and Pilsner Prosum

The Pub had a soft debut last year and was open from September through October. In the winter, the custom structure, designed and manufactured by local firm SHIFTSPACE, became home to a pop-up collaboration with Project HOME during the holidays. Since December, the 10 x 10 cube has been home to Schmear It for daily bagels, coffee, and custom schmears each morning.
