Now Accepting Community Vendors for the September 2018 Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll

Jul 05, 2018 4 months ago

University City District (UCD) and the Baltimore Avenue Business Association are excited to announce the return of the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll on Thursday, September 13, 2018. The event draws thousands of neighbors and visitors to enjoy $1 specials from participating vendors.

For the first time this June, University City District accept applications from temporary community food vendors to participate in this event as official participants. The purpose of selecting official vendors is to ensure all food vendors are in compliance with Philadelphia Health Department codes and regulations for the safety of the public. Selected food vendors will be included on maps and marketing materials for the event.

Vendors not in compliance with the Health Department codes and regulations will not be able to vend at the events. Representatives from the Health Department will be present during the Dollar Stroll to inspect food vendors, and those not in compliance risk being shut down.

Interested in being a community food vendor? Attend an information session hosting by UCD and the Philadelphia Health Department at UCD's offices (3940 Chestnut Street) on Friday, July 20th at 1 PM.

Download the guidelines and application form here. Contact Margaret Starke, UCD Event Planner, at [email protected] to RSVP to the information session, or to apply. The deadline for applicants is July 30th, 2018.
