The Porch at 30th Gains Colorful New Eco Mural from Hagopian Arts

Have you noticed a colorful new addition at The Porch at 30th Street Station? Thanks to a partnership with local public art initiative Hagopian Arts, The Porch got a new splash of color with the addition of a Luna moth mural on our turquoise cube. The Luna moth is part of Hagopian's eco mural project, a series of ecologically-themed public art pieces that has two goals: to beautify blank walls and educate the public about environmental degradation.

According to founder Kala Hagopian, they went with the design because "I decided to focus on some bright, colorful, and dynamic geometric patterning and one of PA's most beautiful pollinators. The moth looks stunning with this pattern and it is still within the theme of native PA species that are essential to our ecosystems. Luna Moths are invaluable pollinators and are often overlooked as a treasure of Pennsylvania wildlife."

This is the second time we have collaborated with Hagopian Arts. You can see another moth ground mural of theirs we arranged in partnership with Cedar Park Neighbors at the eastern edge of Cedar Park, and many more throughout the neighborhood.
