SUMMARY:30th Street Station Bells Across PA Unveiling
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, April 17th\, join Amtrak officials for an unveiling of their Bells Across PA replica Liberty Bell at Gray 30th Street Station. “The Ringing Railroad” by artist Sean Martorana invokes the stunning Art Deco architecture of the William H. Gray III 30th Street Station\, a major stop along Amtrak’s northeast corridor. Martorana weaved images of trains throughout “The Ringing Railroad” bell and the bell’s four sides feature “N\,” “S\,” “E” and “W” marking cardinal directions and the constant movement the train depot has provided to generations of residents and visitors. The unveiling will take place outside of Gray 30th St. Station – West Portico (30th St. Side).

SUMMARY:Revitalize and Renew: Spring Restorative Yoga Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Monica Fauble\, Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Yoga Teacher\, for a special seasonal alignment restorative yoga session. Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages rest and relaxation. \n\n\n\nIn this seasonal alignment workshop\, we will explore the energy of spring according to Chinese Medicine. The energetic direction of spring in Chinese Medicine theory is “up and out”. Just as nature springs forth with new growth\, we will explore how to uncover more energetic engagement during this season of rebirth and growth. \n\n\n\nAlong with a short talk about how to best harmonize with the energy of spring\, participants will receive handouts with seasonal health tips and journaling prompts to help them make the most of this season. \n\n\n\nThe majority of our time together during this workshop will be spent practicing seasonally-inspired restorative yoga postures that will help you explore the energy of this season. \n\n\n\nWhile most yoga practices work with tension and release\, strength and stretch\, restorative yoga aims to thoughtfully set up each posture with lots of props and support in order to aid the body in relaxing more deeply and letting go. \n\n\n\nWe will stay close to the ground during this practice. During this session you will be either seated or lying down with the support of blankets and props. Studio 34 Yoga will provide all of the props that you need to find comfort and to create lots of support for yourself. \n\n\n\nLoose\, comfortable clothing in which you can move easily is recommended. \n\n\n\nThis practice is beginner-friendly. No previous yoga experience is needed to attend. \n\n\n\nSpace for this event is limited. Please pre-register to reserve your spot. \n\n\n\nYour instructor Monica Fauble is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200). In addition to her 200-hour yoga teacher certification\, Monica also completed a 108 Restorative Yoga Teacher Training. She loves helping people become more embodied and more connected to their own inner knowing. Visit Monica’s website to learn more or to join her seasonal wellbeing acupuncture/yoga newsletter list.

SUMMARY:Curio Theatre Company presents: SACCO & VANZETTI: A TRAGEDIA DELL' ARTE
DESCRIPTION:Curio Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Sacco & Vanzetti: A Tragedia dell’Arte\, a bold new work written by\, directed\, and starring John Bellomo. Blending political history with the heightened physicality and archetypes of commedia dell’arte\, this original production revisits one of the most controversial trials of the 20th century through a sharply theatrical lens. \n\n\n\nSacco & Vanzetti: A Tragedia dell’Arte reframes this historical injustice through the stylized conventions of commedia dell’arte\, exposing the absurdity of the case while underscoring the deeply human tragedy at its core. Mask\, movement\, satire\, and sharp physical comedy serve as both shield and spotlight\, revealing how spectacle and bias can distort justice. \n\n\n\nThe production runs approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. Recommended for ages 13 and up due to themes of murder and crime. \n\n\n\nFor tickets and additional information\, visit http://www.curiotheatre.org/.  \n\n\n\nPerformance Dates: \n\n\n\nPreviews: April 1\, 2\, 3 at 8:00 PM \n\n\n\nOpening Night: April 4 at 8:00 PM \n\n\n\nRun: April 8–18  \n\n\n\nVenue:Curio Theatre Company \n\n\n\n4740 Baltimore Ave\, Philadelphia\, PA 19143
