But Hoops for Hope goes beyond the game\, it’s about raising awareness for sickle cell disease and honoring the life of Isaiah Turner\, a student-athlete who tragically lost his life due to sickly cell trait and whose legacy continues to inspire others. \n\n\n\nThis event is designed for all ages\, with something for everyone: \n\n\n\nCompetitive basketball games featuring local high school teams \n\n\n\nSkills & drills sessions for younger kids\, focused on fundamentals\, confidence-building\, and fun \n\n\n\nHealth screenings and wellness resources to support community health and awareness \n\n\n\nGiveaways and prizes throughout the day \n\n\n\nMusic\, energy\, and a strong community vibe \n\n\n\nOpportunities to connect with other student-athletes and community leaders \n\n\n\nWhether you’re competing on the court\, learning the game\, supporting your team\, or just coming out for the experience\, Hoops for Hope is where basketball meets purpose. \n\n\n\nCome compete.
