The State of University City 2024
On Thursday, April 18th, University City District held our annual State of University City event. We were thrilled to be joined by hundreds of partners, stakeholders, local leaders, and neighbors. During the program, we looked back at a year of major impact within our neighborhood, and looked forward to major events on the horizon, including the upcoming 250th anniversary of America, the rising buildings that will continue to transform our skyline, and UCD's own ambitious plans to enhance access to the Schuylkill River.
At our event, we screened a video highlighting the owners and operators of three standout local businesses: Renata's Kitchen, Two Locals Brewing, and Grant BLVD. You can view and share the video we produced with Oak Leaf Media by clicking below.
We also used the event as an opportunity to unveil details about the West Philly Waterfront, University City District's bold plan to bring a new, signature public space to the western banks of the Schuylkill River. You can read more about this project in this blog post.
