University City Dining Days Returns July 13-23

University City Dining Days, our popular “3 courses, 3 prices” promotion, returns for ten days this summer, running July 13^th - 23^rd. Thirty popular University City dining destinations – including five restaurants participating for the first time—will offer a pre-fixe three-course dinner special for $15, $25 or $35. Dining Days is part of UCD’s Summer in University City programming, expanded this year to celebrate our 20^th anniversary. 

University City’s culinary scene is one of the most eclectic and robust in Philadelphia, with a mix of family-owned restaurants and locations for major local and national chefs and restaurateurs. University City is also known for its wide mix of international establishments, with restaurants specializing in cuisines from India, Ethiopia, China, Pakistan, Vietnam, Japan, Mexico City, and more. 

Dining Days offers neighbors a chance to sample restaurants at a fixed price, and draws visitors to the ever-expanding dining scene during a time when the neighborhood is less bustling with college activity. Business at participating restaurants increases substantially during the promotion, so reservations are strongly encouraged. 

Popular restaurants such as Jose Garces’ Distrito and JG Domestic, Dock Street Brewery, White Dog Café, Stephen Starr’s Pod, Han Dynasty, and more are now taking reservations for Dining Days. This year University City District is pleased to welcome five new restaurants to Dining Days: Jane G’s Dim Sum House, healthy fast casual restaurant Fuel, Pakistani restaurant Kabobeesh, the pizza and beer restaurant Clarkville, and the trendy CO-OP, located in the new hotel, Study at University City. 

This year University City is celebrating the start of Dining Days with a kickoff party on July 13^th at UCD’s flagship public space, The Porch at 30^th Street Station on July 13^th The party, held on the first day of the promotion, will run from noon to 2 pm, and will include a performance by local dance group Hip Hop Fundamentals and raffles for gift cards to Dining Days restaurants, University City swag, as well as a chance to win a grand prize of an overnight package including hotel accommodations at the Sheraton University City, tickets to a performance at The Annenberg Center, and restaurant gift cards. As an additional benefit this year, select restaurants will be providing recipes for signature dishes, which will be collected at UCDiningDays.com.
