The Clark Park Farmers Market Announces Updated Footprint

The Food Trust, one of the organizations that operates farmers' markets throughout the city, has announced a new footprint and layout for their popular Clark Park Farmers Market. Beginning August 12th, 2023, the market will alter its footprint from 43rd between Baltimore Avenue and Chester Avenue to occupying half of 43rd Street and the sidewalk along the north side of Chester Avenue. This change is due to the construction underway at 43rd and Baltimore, which has created significant physical barriers and safety issues.

The new layout will provide market vendors and customers the adequate space needed for safe passage free of construction vehicles, equipment, and debris, and allow for residents of the building to use the driveway along 43rd once construction is complete. The entire section of 43rd from Baltimore to Chester will remain closed to general vehicular traffic between Baltimore and Chester Avenue from 7 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays. 

While the farmers market is in operation, all other vendors will be asked to refrain from setting up within the new footprint (including the north side of Chester Avenue). Parking along the north side of Chester Avenue will not be permitted, and cars must be moved from 7 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays or risk getting ticketed or possibly towed.
