Innovation Plaza Open at uCity Square

The University City Science Center has completed work on their Innovation Plaza, the first addition to their uCity Square project, located on 37th Street between Market and Chestnut Streets. The new pocket park offers a new space to gather and support a creative culture, with a landscaped walkway, game tables, an entertainment zone, and seating. Innovation Plaza is also home to a new Innovators Walk of Fame, which is a monument to Greater Philadelphia’s primary sources of innovation.

The Science Center partnered with several companies along the walkway to bring Innovation Plaza to life: International House Philadelphia, National Board of Medical Examiners, PECO, University Lutheran Church, and the 3624 Condominium Association. The plaza will be open to the public, and a formal dedication ceremony is scheduled for Spring 2016.
