Rest & Restore: Winter Restorative Yoga Workshop

Join Monica Fauble, Licensed Acupuncturist and Certified Yoga Teacher, for a special seasonal alignment restorative yoga session. Restorative yoga is a style of yoga that encourages rest and relaxation. Using props to minimize tension in the body, we will invite greater ease in the spirit and the nervous system.
In this special seasonal alignment workshop, we will explore the energy of winter according to Chinese Medicine. The energetic direction of winter in Chinese Medicine theory is “storage”. Just as the animals and plants store and conserve energy in wintertime, we will explore how to preserve and protect our energy so that we can find more connection to our own inner wisdom during the darker shorter days.

Along with a short talk about how to best harmonize with the energy of winter, participants will receive handouts with seasonal health tips and journaling prompts to help them make the most of autumn. The majority of our time together during this workshop will be spent practicing seasonally-inspired restorative yoga postures that will help you explore the energy of this season.
