At University City District, we work 365 days each year to change places and change lives within our neighborhood. We maintain clean and safe streets, build beautiful public spaces, program signature events, and operate services that improve the quality of life for neighbors and visitors.
Our new Annual Review details highlights from an impactful year that include:
- Connecting more than 300 Philadelphians to meaningful employment through our Skills Initiative
- Offering a robust calendar of events, including free concerts, outdoor movies, street festivals, and family-friendly gatherings, all aimed at creating a sense of community and supporting small businesses and arts organizations
- Supporting unhoused members of our community through the efforts of HOST, our Homeless Outreach Services Team
- Helping small businesses open, expand, or connect to services
- Partnering with local groups to improve pedestrian safety
