New LUCY Bus Stop at 37th Street and Cuthbert Street

LUCY is adding a temporary stop at 37th and Cuthbert, converting an existing construction detour into an official stop that will remain in place for at least a year.

A LUCY bus completes it's route in University City

The Loop through University City (LUCY) bus, operated by University City District in partnership with SEPTA, has added a new stop at the corner of 37th Street and Cuthbert Street. The stop improves access for riders traveling to Drexel University Health Sciences Building and provides an accessible drop-off just steps from The Lawn at uCity Square.

The stop is currently operating, and formalizes a detour that has been in place since summer 2025 due to ongoing construction at the Penn Presbyterian Roberts Proton Therapy Center. While the stop is temporary, it will operate as part of the LUCY route for at least the next year, with construction expected to continue through 2027.

LUCY runs every 30 minutes or more, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, excluding major holidays. LUCY is free for University of Pennsylvania students and for employees of the University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania Health System, University City Science Center, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. All other riders may use the same fare payment options accepted across SEPTA’s transportation network.
