SEPTA is continuing their excavation and renewal work to trolley tracks on 40th Street and the curve at 42nd and Spruce that will impact travel and parking throughout the summer. At the project's end, trolley riders and vehicles traveling along 40th Street will enjoy smoother streets, refreshed line painting, and improved track components.

Beginning Tuesday, May 31st, work crews will begin pre-construction (welding) work on 40th Street between Powelton and Filbert Street which could result in a parking impact for businesses and residents on those streets. Starting June 13th, more detailed work will begin on 40th Street, and will conclude in late August, with no work occurring in July. This more extensive work will result in one block per weekend closing to vehicular traffic and interruptions to Bus Routes 40, 30, and 42. Please check for posted signs during this time, visit www.septa.org, or call SEPTA customer service at 215-580-7800.
