The Porch, located on the south side of 30th Street Station, is one of Philadelphia's premier public spaces. The Porch features lunch from rotating food trucks, pop-up performances, lush landscaping, outdoor drinks in warmer weather, and plenty of places to relax.

The Pub

The Pub at The Porch is University City’s next great spot to enjoy outdoor beverages, returning on June 12th, 2019! Bridgewater’s Pub, the venerable drinking and dining destination inside 30th Street Station, will operate The Pub, serving beer and wine Wednesday through Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm through September 20th. The Pub will be located on the western end of The Porch, near the 30th and Market Street corner.

We are now booking happy hour groups for The Pub at The Porch. Reserve your spot now! Group happy hours can enjoy drink discounts.  Please note that The Pub at The Porch will continue to be open to the public during your event.  Guests must be 21 or older to drink, and must stay within the designated area of The Pub.

We are bringing back free lunchtime performances to The Porch, presented by PECO! See the schedule for August and September below, and click on the performances to RSVP on Facebook. The schedule will be:

  • Wednesday, August 7th at 12 pm: Just Sole! Street Dance
    • Just Sole! Street Dance Theater Company was founded in 2010 by its Directors Kyle "JustSole" Clark and Dinita "Queen Dinita" Clark. The mission of the company is to use Hip Hop dance (Street Dance) of all styles theatrically to inspire, empower, innovate, and motivate others to embrace their story and individuality while teaching the culture and history of Hip Hop Dance.
  • Thursday, August 15th at 12 pm: Philadelphia FICA
    • Don't miss a demonstration of Capoeira! ​Capoeira Angola is a dance fight, a playful sparring involving style, wit, flexibility and strategy. Capoeira weaves movements, spirituality, mental and physical discipline, fight, and philosophy into a unique "game." 
  • Tuesday, August 20th at 12: Oscuro Quintet and Tango Dance 
    • ​Come and experience the music and dancing of Argentina! Spanning the history of tango from the 20's to present day, Oscuro Quintet presents the popular music of Buenos Aires plus modern compositions infused with jazz. Oscuro Quintet featuring tango dancers Damian & Sarah. Names of performers if needed - Shinjoo Cho (bandoneon), Joseph Kauffman (violin), Jason Klinke (guitar), and Banjamin Blazer (contrabass). And dancers - Damian Lobato and Sarah Chung.he Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble, Philadelphia's premiere women’s tap dance company, contributes to the revitalization of the city's tap community through performance of both original choreography and improvised works to preserve the tradition of tap dance while challenging the public’s perception of percussive dance.
  • Thursday, August 29th at 12 pm: Batala Philadelphia 
    • Come enjoy an explosion of samba reggae rhythms that will uplift and energize the rest of your day! The group's drums, costumes, and music come from Bahia, Brazil.  
  • Tuesday, September 10th: Philippine Folk Arts Society String Ensemble 
    • PFASI is an ensemble rendition of music from around the world showcasing 14 string instruments from the Philippines.
  • Thursday, September 19th: URIOL Korean Percussion
    • Come hear traditional Korean drumming played by a group of Philadelphians — guaranteed to get you hyped! An extraordinary feast for both the ears and the eyes!
  • Tuesday, September 24th: Belleville Quartet
    • An eclectic mix of swing jazz and Eastern European folk music.
