Philadelphia is bringing in America’s 250th birthday in many ways. Whether it’s commemorative liberty bells decorating our commercial corridors, cultural events celebrating our diverse communities, or home grown block parties made more festive with decorations, activities, food and supplies provided by the city – Philadelphia is ready to party for this milestone year.

One opportunity tied to the 250th is the WORC Business Pitch Competition, a legacy project of the Women’s Committee for the 250th that recognizes that financial independence is critical to exercising one’s fundamental rights. The Women’s Committee partnered with the Women’s Opportunity Resource Center (WORC) to create the competition and provide businesses with technical assistance throughout the process.

Hannah Guy, owner of Revive Therapy Services, located at 3641 Lancaster Avenue, was chosen as one of 20 semi-finalists to enter the Women’s Committee for the 250th’s WORC Business Pitch Competition in the running for a $25,000 grand prize. In the live semi-final pitch, Hannah made a compelling case for how $25,000 would grow her business. She argued that investing in professional podcast production, social media and branding strategies, and continuing education on innovative trauma therapies would provide up to 10x return on investment. That was enough to move her business to the final stage with four other finalists.

Between the semi-final round in March and the final on May 13th, 2026, Hannah worked with a mentor provided through the competition to refine her pitch for the finals. Heading into the big pitch, Hannah was excited and hopeful. “I knew winning this competition would help us reach the people we’ve long wanted to reach, which we haven’t been able to do due to limited resources,” said Guy.  “With this reach, we will not only be able to provide income for our current staff but also employ more therapists who share our mission and vision!”

We’re pleased to share that during the finals held on Wednesday, May 13th, Hannah and Revive earned 2nd place, a prize of $15,000, and connection to WORC’s product and service portfolio. We salute Hannah for displaying the entrepreneurial spirit that makes our neighborhood so special!
