40th Street Summer Series
We’re pleased to announce the return of the annual 40th Street Summer Series for its tenth year. The University of Pennsylvania, The Rotunda, and UCD are once again teaming up to bring a slate of free music to the beautiful green space just behind the Walnut Street Free Library at 40th and Walnut Streets. Scheduled for the last Saturdays from June through September and beginning at 6pm, the Summer Series will transform the 40th Street Field into a family-friendly center of global sounds and good vibrations featuring a wide array of musical acts. The concerts will also feature face painting, balloon animals, and complimentary (first come, first served) Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. See the full lineup for June, July, and August below, with September’s performance still to be announced.
Awesome Fest Music Films in Clark Park

This year UCD and Friends of Clark Park are working with the Awesome Fest to present seven films about music for their Soundtrack of Awesome series, and will turn picturesque Clark Park (43rd and Baltimore) into a unique outdoor movie theater. Films are presented on a breathtaking state-of-the-art, 30-foot outdoor screen, and are free to the public. Food trucks Poi Dog Philly, The Flavor Spot, Mom Moms, and Curbside Creamery will be on hand to provide snacks for the crowd.
