University City Dining Days Returns With Delicious Deals, July 18-28

 

One of the summer’s hottest meal deals is back!

University City Dining Days returns for another year to satisfy hungry residents and visitors with lunch and dinner deals from July 18-28.

More than 35 restaurants from University City’s bustling food scene offer fixed-price menus during the annual summer event, which expands this year to include lunch deals.

And fixed-price menus include eats from around the world, including Thailand, Vietnam and India.

Some of this year’s mouth-watering deals include a three-course, $15 lunch or dinner at HipCityVeg with a spread of fries or salad, plus a choice between two entrees and a fresh lemonade. Neighborhood staple White Dog Cafe offers a three-course $35 dinner with a bonus dessert. And the $25 dinner at Distrito ends with the copa mango — coconut panna cotta with mango ice cream and a masa crumble.

A handful of newcomers join University City Dining Days this year.

Argentinian favorite Jezabel’s Cafe offers lunch Monday through Friday for $15. Options for the three-course meal include roasted eggplant, chef Jezabel Carega’s beloved empanadas and an apple cake with yogurt mousse.

At KQ Burger, an offshoot of Fishtown’s Kensington Quarters restaurant and butcher, lunch customers can choose from a variety of burgers and add a choice of starter fries and funnel cake fries — all for $15!
